Rebecca Minkoff or Aldo?

Earlier this Spring, Rebecca Minkoff had some beautiful two-tones hand-held bags. I don't think they're selling anymore, but here's a photo from her site. It's so stunning and I haven't seen this style recently. This bag was selling for over $500. For a seasonal bag, I just can't justify that spend.

So, instead, I recently came across this fun version from Aldo. It's currently selling for $20.99. I bought it for $45 last week. Aldo must be clearing out Spring/Summer and getting ready for Fall. Can't believe that.

Since this bag isn't leather, it needed some 'plumping' when I received it. But for the price, can't go wrong.

Is it a purse?

When I was my in early 20's I worked at a local specialty store called JB's Bags. A fabulous store that specialized in handbags and luggage. The two owners loved bags and created a small chain of 5 stores.

Now, working there did nothing to curb my addiction to bags. It definitely fed the fire. While training, my manager, a fiery 50-something proper British lady explained to me that these beautiful bags are not purses. That "to purse" is something you do with your lips. They are handbags.

That little lesson has stuck with me. What do you carry? A handbag? A purse? I think Oprah carries a pocketbook. I find that one really odd.

I'll be pursing my lips waiting to hear your thoughts. Let me know. To purse or not.

Passionate about Purple

Okay, just got back from Phoenix and unfortunately, the handbag selection was pretty slim. However, just found a great winter sale on right now.

This bag is on sale at Nordstroms for $81! Love purple. It's such a great change getting out of winter blacks. We all wear black jackets, black boots, black bags. Switch it up.

There's a Case for it

I had a few minutes so I just popped over to ETSY.com to check out what crafty, creative people are selling. Now the thing about ETSY is you have to be patient. It's kind of like flipping through racks of sale clothing. It's tiring, but often there's a reward for your patience.

Today, I lucked out early. Check out this super cute glasses case. We all have sunglasses bumping around in the car or in the glove compartment. I've found the perfect home for your glasses.

This shop Kailo Chic has so many fun little cases in unique and classic fabrics.

The shop also carries hobo style bags in fabric. Not a fan. Reminds me of something I tried unsuccessfully to sew back in grade 7. However, small cute coin purses or make-up bags are way too fun to pass up!
